Burt’s Pumpkin Farm- Dahlonega, GA

Since fall is starting to come around, pumpkin weather is starting to roll in.  I had the opportunity to go with some of my friends to the pumpkin farm.

The cool part –other than hanging out with great friends– is that I found some new roads to ride my motorcycle on, and it’s not that far form my house.

The bad part is that there is absolutely no cell phone service… just goes to show how hard it is to go “Off the grid” for even a few hours.

Travel Bloggery: Amsterdam

Part of the T-Pain European tour (Aug. ’11) took us to Amsterdam.  Since I had a little down time while I was there, I was able to snap some pictures… Enjoy!

Travel Bloggery- Burj Khalifa building Dubai, UAE

Here’s more out of order travel pictures…

After Europe, I went to Beirut and Dubai for a few more shows to finish out the run with T-Pain.  While I was in Dubai, there was a little bit of down time so i was able to get some pictures of the Burj Khalifa building, which is the tallest building in the world.  Due to the last minute nature of this trip, we weren’t able to book tickets in advance for the building tour, so I wasn’t able to go to the top.  Maybe next time.

Travel Bloggery- St. Tropez pictures

I know these travel blogs are out of order, but I really wanted to show off some of these pictures…

These were taken by the port in St. Tropez, in the south of France.  The rest of the crew and I had some time to hang out, so we went to see the sights.  Keep in mind that this was a monday night, and the streets were packed.

Travel Bloggery- Asia Pt.1

In the past few months I’ve been most of the way around the world doing what I love.  My travels have taken me to the proud orient, ancient europe, and the desolate but sparkly middle-eastern desert.

The first trip abroad was a last-minute trek to Seoul, South Korea and Macau , China with the Rappa-ternt-Sanga T-Pain.  After mechanical delays at ATL and a 9-hour layover at LAX due to said delays, I finally made it to Seoul, where we stayed at the Grand Intercontinental COEX.  This hotel is in the complex where G8 summit was held in 2010.  Rather nice hotel, all the amenities you would expect in a 5-star hotel in Asia.  There was even an awesome view of the street, where the traffic markings spelled out “LO7 LOL LOL,” as seen on the right.  Another cool feature of this place was the cavernous underground mall, which included hundreds of stores and restaurants, a megaplex cinema and an aquarium.  Unfortunately I didn’t really have time to explore due to the fact that I was delayed 12 hours by Delta, and we had to fly to Hong Kong the next day to catch a boat to Macau.

The gig was at a water park, and the stage was next to a giant wave pool.  Fortunately there were no rogue waves during the show…

Bright and early the next morning we departed Seoul proper to go back to Incheon Int’l airport(ICN) where we boarded a Korean Airlines Airbus A-380.  This is a monster of a plane… full double decker, five hundred something passengers, this picture doesn’t really do justice to how monstrous this vessel really is.  But, being in Asia, the loading and unloading process is very efficient.  In the US, airlines start the boarding process 45 minutes to an hour before takeoff.  Korean Airlines, however, stats boarding 30 minutes before and uses multiple jetways to alleviate the bottleneck of single-jetway embarkation.

The flight lasted 3.5 hours.  The approach over the water was a bit sketchy, with the runway being on a peninsula, but the veteran Korean Air pilots made a smooth landing and before we knew it we were off the plane and waiting for a ferry to Macau.  There are not many food choices in Hong Kong airport’s international concourse, so I settled for some noodles and beef, and had to quickly remember my chop stick skills… I was a bit rusty at first, but I couldn’t let that stand in the way of a decent airport meal.

Time finally rolled around and we were able to board the ferry to take us to Macau.  It was roughly an hour-long trip.  The weather was fair that day, so it made for a pleasantly smooth ride to the Macau Maritime terminal.

That is as far as I feel like going tonight… I’ll get at it again soon.  There is the other half of the Asian run, and a whole Euro-Middle eastern tour to blog, not to mention all of the dates in the US.

-Thanks for letting me bore you.
